Artist Statement I am always interested in what the land has to say. My paintings spring from a lifelong fascination with the landscape and nature. This has greatly influenced my personal, academic and professional pursuits. Whether I’m up close and personal with a plant or viewing a distant landscape, there is a power, mystery and light that inspires my color choices and brushstrokes. My intention when creating my paintings is to play with the natural elements of the landscape through expressive brushstrokes, color, light and design.
